In the first blog, three business majors were covered, accounting, marketing, and finance. Here is more help and clarification with choosing a business major or program! 


Human Resources

As a human resources major, you will learn about employee and labor rules, business law, performance management, employment issues, and more. The coursework for a Human Resources major includes organizational development, human resource recruitment, human resource management, and more in the human resources aspect of business. Common job titles for a Human Resources major include recruiter, benefits specialist, human resources associate, and more.


 Healthcare Administration

 Those pursuing a healthcare administration program as a business major learn about overseeing and ensuring healthcare facilities such as hospitals, doctor’s offices, and nursing homes run smoothly. The courses that come with this major include healthcare operations, accounting, healthcare law, and more. Potential job titles for those who go into Healthcare administration consist of health services manager, healthcare coordinator, and health information manager. 


Business management or administration 

When studying as a business administration major, you will learn how to develop your leadership abilities, communication skills, growth strategies, and more. Some coursework for this major includes financial management, business policy and strategy, business ethics and laws, etc. Those with a business management major have various job options, such as a staff accountant, sales manager, data analyst, and more. 


These majors and programs are some of the many potential business pathways you can strive for, and you should choose one based on your strengths, skills, and overall interests.
